CASE STUDY | WORLDPAY
Worldpay is a global leader in payment processing and financial technology. Headquartered in London’s Walbrook Building, they operate across 146 countries with networks of more than 20 international offices. As one of the world’s most recognised payments providers, Worldpay processes billions of transactions every year for high-profile merchants across e-commerce, in-store and omnichannel environments. They work on vast transaction volumes and demanding security requirements, meaning every component of their infrastructure must operate with absolute reliability.
CASE STUDY | WORLDPAY
The client, Worldpay, identified a critical issue within the clustered server environment responsible for their CCTV infrastructure. Replication between nodes had failed, meaning that their redundancy was compromised and the resilience of their security infrastructure was at risk. And, as a globally distributed organisation, stringent security and compliance obligations were imposed on the client. This level of regulatory exposure and security vulnerability posed a significant operational and legislative risk to the client. This created an urgency for restoring resilience and ensuring infrastructure would withstand failure without compromising continuity or compliance.
CASE STUDY | WORLDPAY
Our engineers conducted a detailed assessment of the clustered server environment, analysing replication behaviour, failover integrity and overall system health. We identified the root cause of the replication failure and rebuilt the redundancy mechanisms, restoring secure and reliable data synchronisation across all nodes. By re-establishing stable replication pathways, the cluster was returned to a healthy, fully aligned state.
With replication restored, we carried out controlled failover testing to validate the cluster’s ability to withstand node loss without disruption. Drawing on our deep expertise in high-availability architecture, we ensured that each server operated as intended under various failure scenarios. All work was delivered in line with industry best practice and the standards expected of security and compliance-driven environments, ensuring the platform met the resilience and reliability Worldpay depends on.

The repaired cluster now performs at the standards required for organisations handling sensitive data. Worldpay’s internal teams regained confidence that their CCTV platform is protected and engineered to support continuity.
- Restored data replication across all nodes - Data now synchronises cleanly and consistently across the entire cluster.
- Fully functioning failover and redundancy - Services can seamlessly transfer between nodes in the event of a fault, without interruption or manual intervention.
- Strengthened resilience against outages and failures - The environment is now engineered to tolerate node loss, hardware faults or unexpected disruptions, significantly reducing the risk of service impact.
- Improved data integrity and reliability - Data integrity has been reinforced, protecting against corruption, inconsistency and loss in a security-sensitive environment.
- Zero downtime during remedial work - All remediation was completed without taking systems offline, allowing Worldpay’s operations to continue uninterrupted.
