COVID-19: Update from Evolve Technologies
We know your business depends on Evolve Technologies as your IT support provider and our ability to provide a reliable and uninterrupted service – so in light of the recent developments around Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to share with you the measures we are taking to ensure service continuity during any future working restrictions that may be imposed upon us.
In line with government advice on keeping our colleagues safe during this time, we have introduced safety measures as per government guidelines within the business to ensure the safety of our staff. Our office will remain open and home working has been introduced to reduce the number of workers on site at any one time. We have reduced our site visits and presents as a safety precaution.
If anyone has any requests for hardware to assist in home working, please contact us in the usual manner. However due to current events, stock is low and takes longer than the usual 24-48 hours to turn around. We are regularly reviewing the government advice regarding COVID-19 and we remain committed to supporting you with the highest level of service.
We would also like to advise users to take more time and care when reading email descriptions and opening files. We have seen a large increase in scams due to hackers trying to target home workers. If you suspect something doesn’t look right, please forward a copy to the helpdesk to be checked by one of ours engineers.
Things to look out for would be:
- Emails with links asking for office 365 details, please never type in office 365 details to any webpage.
- Emails with .exe files attached.
- Invoices sent from irregular suppliers.
- Messages that are asking you to recover social media profiles or telling you that your account has been recovered.
It would be extremely helpful if the message above could be circulated within your business to help keep staff aware of the recent increase in scams.
